Rope for Hope

I'm very proud to have been made an ambassador for the charity Made A Wish and was delighted to be asked to take part in their Rope for Hope challenge, without really knowing what was involved. Imagine my horror to be told that I was expected to abseil down one of Dublin's tallest buildings, especially when standing on three steps makes me light headed and woozy!

There was no way I was going to back out, having committed to the cause and after half an hour of gentle persuasion, and facing my fears head on, I took a leap of faith and made my way down, dangling from a rope, as you can see in the video attached (courtesy of RTE)

Sometimes you have to face your fears head on, and I am so proud of myself for doing this challenge, especially for such a worthy cause.
